Workshop with Emily Smith and Prem Krishnamurphy, in which we worked on each other’s 150 word excerpts (from written draft of research paper), before reconstructing our writing and making a related piece within limited timeframes.

As I reconstructed the writing I found I was reducing random lines down into soundbite-like short sentences, almost replacement messages for the signs I’d been recording. Could I use this as a form for my writing?

For the related piece I sketched out a quick zine of a collection of physical obstructions, something I’m about to experiment with.
