Draft paper entitled OBSTRUCTIONS: The language of material obstructions and what they tell us about our public spaces. The version I submitted had a different cover, but was materially the same (excuse the pun).
It is an inquiry into the proliferation of physical obstructions in our public spaces, their categorisation according to levels of obstructiveness, and the inverse proportionality of inert ‘things’ to the number of security guards as objects of obstructions in private retail and business development zones like Kings Cross Central.
